This book is a wonderful companion to the movie, "The Secret." I highly recommend seeing the movie and reading the book--if you are interested in learning how to create positive changes in your life and manifest your desires.
There really is no "secret," because these theories and teachings have been around for quite a while. Anyone who is familiar with the work of Jerry & Esther Hicks/Abraham (and other authors), will feel right at home with the material found in "The Secret." The teachings or theories found in this book are ancient wisdom and profoundly true.
But regardless of whether you've studied material like this before, the book and video are a wonderful source of information regarding the art of deliberate creation, the power to create change and manifest one's desires.
It is full of information and teachings from some of the leaders in this field, and it gives practical advice and information on how you, too, can learn to create the life that you desire.
We all have the power within us to create and manifest, in fact we are doing it all the time. Unfortunately, few of us realize this and we end up creating what we don't want, not what we do want.
So, if you want to become a CONSCIOUS creator and start attracting into your life all the things that you do want---read this book and, follow the guidance and put the teachings into practice.

Rhonda Bryne's "THE SECRET" is one of the most inspiring, life enhancing work I have ever come across, particularly because of how it is delivered, in a palatable manner that anyone can understand and relate to.
What I love most about this work is its impact in both scope and delivery. You learn HOW to focus, how to change your mental and verbal script to create the life you truly prefer, as well as how to go about manifesting in a clear and positive manner.
While I am very familiar with what is shared about the manifestation process, and can personally attest to its accuracy from my own life, it is also the way the material is presented that is a breath of fresh air which I believe anyone from any culture or background can find joy and delight as they are awakened to what CAN happen when you combine your thoughts, words, feelings, passion, focus, action and trust allowing the universe to bring about what you TRULY would love in your life.
If you really have the desire to turn your life around, I wholeheartedly recommend BOTH this book, as well as watching the movie. Both are entirely inspiring, pure, positive, and I believe life changing for anyone.
Truly deserves 100 stars and a deep THANK YOU for all you are doing to help humanity!

I'm just going to tell you The Secret and you can decide if you need to buy the book. The Secret is that like attracts like. If you embrace a positive mental attitude, a good life will follow."The law of attraction is a law of nature. It is impersonal and it does not see good things or bad things. It is receiving your thoughts and reflecting back to you those thoughts as your life experience. The law of attraction simply gives you whatever it is you are thinking about." The Secret relies on such pop-new-age-feel-good icons as Jack Canfield of The Chicken Soup Series and John Gray author of the Venus and Mars books, to basically reiterate the law of attraction and provide antedotal evidence for 198 pages. The book and DVD claim that successful and rich men like John Rockefeller, Ford and Einstein have possessed The Secret.
Opinion:
I think a positive mental attitude is important and if you need help in achieving this, you will learn something from The Secret. Even though the book and DVD make the same point over and over again, if you need help maintaining "The Secret" in your mind, then you should buy the book because I believe that eventually the message will sink in. But the book is a bit thin. Yes it's a 198 pages, but it's a 198 small-sized pages with a lot of bullet points. It's not dense text. And as an aside, the book is pretty. It's printed on shiny paper made to look like ancient parchment. It would make a nice gift. I seems like the publisher decided a good binding would make up for the lack of hard text.
On a more cynical note:
Rhonda Byrne is the creator of What's Cooking and The World's Greatest TV Commercials. She came across an old 1910 book "The Secret of Getting Rich" and decided to make it into a DVD. She sold 600,000 copies by word of mouth before the thing was even on Oprah. There really isn't anything more to The Secret than the power of positive thinking, but it's big because Byrne hints an intrigue and conspiracy along the lines of the Da Vinci code. In the beginning of the DVD she shows powerful men meeting around a table sharing the sercet with eachother, taking blood oaths and promising not to tell the plebians-the great unwashed masses. It really plays into insecurities.
There is nothing new in The Secret. It's the same message repackaged so that a great marketer can get rich-and she is. I'm sort of disappointed in Oprah. She usually supports authors that are a little more worthy. (sigh.)
My Experience with the Secret:
I was introduced to The Secret DVD over a year ago. I watched about half of it because as I said, it kept making the same point over and over again. The DVD was narrated by an Australian woman and I got the impression that it was being distributed by one of the new age religions that have a stong hold down under. Both the book and DVD seemed a bit cult-ish. And the woman who had given the DVD to my friend is involved in cults. The production seemed a bit cheesey, but I still found the message good. (A quick check of the internet proves my suspicions. Yes, Rhonda Byrne is an Australian. She used to work for nine network news. Production on The Secret began in 1994)
But in both the DVD and the book they are trying to really stretch things out to achieve a DVD and book. The same person who introduced me to the DVD bought the book and gave it to me for an afternoon. I was able to read most of it in two hours. Recently this book has been on Oprah and I suppose everyone is going to be on the Secret bandwagon for a while. It's the feel good, it's all about me, psycho fad that baby boomers latch on to. I think Anthony Robbins preaches this same sort of thing. They say that Australians are the most positive people on the planet. Maybe they all know The Secret.
Caveat:
It seems to me that like a lot of movements The Secret can be used to delude yourself and harass friends in need. I can imagine talking to some friend about a problem and getting "you're not using the secret" in response. If you buy into the Secret, use it positively.

This is for the 4 CD extended version.
I already owned the DVD version of the Secret,
but I was so impressed with it's possibilities that I wanted to immerse myself in it's teachings.
Most people need to repetition to change the way they think
and so I bought the Extended CD Audio version to wake me up in the morning and to play in my car on the way to work.
The DVD, and especially the extended CD are the best investments I've ever made for my future.
I think if you habituate The Law of Attraction way of thinking, as described in this series
you can effect Happiness, Relationships, Wealth, Health and even your weight.
I recommend this to everyone who is searching for answers and would like to improve their future.

Are you looking for health, wealth and happines? Well, the Secret is in this book. It's the law of attraction, which says we create our own world. All the great thinkers knew the Secret and that was the key to thir success. This knowledge is being released to the masses because the time is right. We have come to a time in our evolutionary history to make a quantum jump in our consciousness levels.
Some of today's great thinkers, success coaches, quantum physicists and metaphysicians provide tips on how to use the Secret to help you get what you want. No matter what you believe, the Secret can fit within your spiritual doctrine and help you understand more of life's unanswered questions.
I've seen other reviewers claim the DVD was better and that they were disappointed that the book offered nothing new. Well, the Secret is simple, and it is unnecessary to add to the DVD. The book is a great reference manual. Sitting on my night stand, it's a constant reminder of the principles I learned through the DVD. I can reread sections that help me better understand the law of attraction.
