From the supplier: Kindergarten teachers can help improve their students' problem-solving abilities and improve their thinking skills by having them use math journals. After hearing their teachers read a story problem, students are required to record how they arrive at a solution either by writing or drawing. By recording how they answer a problem and sharing their solutions with others, students are able to think about and employ different symbols. Moreover, they are able to reason, compare, count and perform other mathematical concepts. Their language skills are also enhanced.
