From the supplier: A high school teacher adds creativity to her math classes, makes a difficult subject easier to learn and gives the students more confidence in their abilities. A new Math and Computers course was developed, based on ClarisImpact, an integrated spreadsheet, charting, drawing and presentations package. Using ClarisImpact, the students examine practical concepts by developing business plans for their own imaginary companies. The students learn to use the software in order to generate spreadsheets for sales projections, time lines, and collateral materials. The program not only examines mathematical concepts, but helps the students develop thinking skills that are required to execute the mathematics. After developing their business plans, the students use the presentation modules of ClarisImpact to present their ideas to the class.
