I have watched The Secret numerous times and wanted something to listen to at work and in the car. I considered buying the soundtrack from the film but then took a look at the book in a bookstore and realized that much of the information in the movie is actually expounded upon, so I opted for the book on CD. Well, it's perfect. You get Rhonda Byrne's sweet and loving voice taking you through all the points of the secret like a caring and compassionate friend, adding more detail as she goes. And of course all the teachers voices are there too. I'm so pleased with this unabridged CD, I think it's better than the movie because of all the additional content and I can take it with me wherever I go!
Thanks for all the hardwork that must have gone in to doing this - I can't recommend it enough.

You don't need this book. You already know everything you need to know to be wise and prosperous. It's already inside of you. Everyone is looking for some magic formula which will allow them to be happy and successful. We all believe that there is some "secret of life" that we need to plug into, and then our fears and angst will disappear and we will glide effortlessly through the cosmos into blissful well-being.
Well, look no further. I am going to reveal to you the Ultimate Secret, and it is not going to cost you a penny! Are you ready? Here it is: The secret of life is... that THERE IS NO SECRET!
It sounds like pablum doesn't it? But only about 5% of the people who read this are going to understand it and believe it. I challenge you to embrace this thought and analyze it. Take it to its logical conclusion, and when you can truly accept this wisdom, you will be able to shed your fears and angst. You may not reach a point where you feel that you are gliding effortlessly through the cosmos, but you will be well on the path toward that utopia. And you will resonate with a happiness you never before thought possible.
I am a firm believer in the Law of Attraction. And I am a devout believer that we are all exactly where we are supposed to be. We truly do create our own destiny. No, you don't need this book. It's philosophy can be summed up quite robustly in one, simple, Biblical phrase: "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." This is the Law of Attraction, and it truly works. It's not magic and it's not a secret. It is a universal, irrefutable, and immutable principle. If you bequeath peace and harmony to those around you, you will recieve peace and harmony. If you disseminate good will and love, you will be blessed with good will and love. If, however, you emanate ill-will and a cynical attitude, that is what you will receive from the world.
No, you don't need this book... but I highly recommend it. You see, as simple as it is to get what we want out of life, we have to overcome all of our past conditioning, all of our negativiy, and all of the bad habits we have spent a lifetime to form. It's very simple, but it is anything but easy! This book will help you to condition your toughts to break your inertia and get rid of bad habits of thought.
Start with this book as your point of departure into a new conciousness, a new awareness, and a new philosophy of life. Then read some of the other excellent books which other reviewers have recommended. You will find that it is easier to be a benfactor than a burden. Offer the best of yourself to the world, and then prepare yourself to receive in abundance!
A Doctor's Confession.... "The Secret" inspired me! November 27, 2006

I am so loving, happy, and grateful that this groundbreaking movie was put together by these true champions of information! After viewing "The Secret," everything that I've researched from a scientific and spiritual perspective immediately clicked. I was instantly inspired! Actually, I've been inspired by the powerful messeges in the film ever since. After viewing the movie, it then became apparent that I needed to evaluate my current paradigms along with my conscious and subconscious way of thinking! I took massive and immediate action and assumed all responsibility for my previous, habituated way of thinking. Then, I began to remove all resistance out of my life and create empowering paradigms and relationships by using tips and powerful insight from "The Secret." For instance, when I first get up in the morning, I rattle through everything that I'm grateful for and create my day as it was intended. I speak, focus, and visualize positive things into form on a daily basis. I also listen to James Ray's "Science of Success System" in the car and everywhere I go, driving the empowering material deep into my subconscious.
I cannot even begin to tell you how fast my intentions and visualizations are manifesting presently! I was able to write my first best-selling book within two months after viewing the movie! The words and ideas for the book just kept flowing unlike anything I ever experienced before. My practice has exploded in patient volume and financial collections in the last several months as well! I'm constantly attracting powerful business partnerships at a very fast pace and now have several streams of revenue. I am continuously drawing abundance and prosperity into my life and I'm convinced that coincidence is simply attractor energy working in my favor!
I am definitely more aligned with our universal creative source, through which all life comes into being, after watching this movie. I am a very spiritual person in general but I am further enlightened after connecting with these teachers of the secret, James Ray in particular. I have never felt so much gratitude, joy, peace, and happiness as I do today! This movie is an ablolute must!.

Book or DVD? Depends on How You Learn Best! December 22, 2006

I enjoyed the DVD, and, in fact, purchased a copy for my own library. However, I give higher marks to the book. Here's why.
The book, by virtue of relying only on words, can and does go into greater depth on how to use the secret. The DVD, constrained by time, takes a more superficial look at the "how-tos."
The book, not being a multi-media product, is 1) clearer, more on-message and 2) less distracting than a video. It allows the reader to pace the information for themselves rather than being carried through the information as happens in the video And taking in these ideas at your own pace, stopping to reflect on the ideas whenever appropriate, is an excellent method of incorporating the content into your own life.
That said, some folk simply prefer videos over books. For them, the DVD may be the better choice. Those who are looking for more in-depth information may prefer the book.
Then again, why choose one or the other? Get both the book and the DVD. If you're looking to kick-start changes in your life, neither will disappoint.

This book is a wonderful companion to the movie, "The Secret." I highly recommend seeing the movie and reading the book--if you are interested in learning how to create positive changes in your life and manifest your desires.
There really is no "secret," because these theories and teachings have been around for quite a while. Anyone who is familiar with the work of Jerry & Esther Hicks/Abraham (and other authors), will feel right at home with the material found in "The Secret." The teachings or theories found in this book are ancient wisdom and profoundly true.
But regardless of whether you've studied material like this before, the book and video are a wonderful source of information regarding the art of deliberate creation, the power to create change and manifest one's desires.
It is full of information and teachings from some of the leaders in this field, and it gives practical advice and information on how you, too, can learn to create the life that you desire.
We all have the power within us to create and manifest, in fact we are doing it all the time. Unfortunately, few of us realize this and we end up creating what we don't want, not what we do want.
So, if you want to become a CONSCIOUS creator and start attracting into your life all the things that you do want---read this book and, follow the guidance and put the teachings into practice.
