Great textbook and reference December 14, 2002 Carrie A. Korthals (Sun Prairie, WI United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I will not resell this on after class! I will use this one forever! Great book, easy to read and follow.
Instructor Input April 2, 2007 LPN instructor (Idaho) As a pre-nursing instructor, I find this text very easy to follow and love the nursing process approach it takes. It is a wonderful reference for ongoing clinical practice. Excellent instructor disk and student reference CD. Highly recommend this text book.
informative for class but.... May 7, 2007 Alicia Arzata (Atl GA) I bought this book/cd for an online class. Facts are facts and that is what I needed it for. But the CD and Book do not always corelate the same information, for instance in the book it states that there are 10 essential amino acids but on the CD flashcards it says there are 9. If I guessed 9 on my test - I would be wrong. Also, the opinions of the author tend to be written as fact and there are some that I definitely disagree with from personal experience. Example: the author states that B12 deficiency is rare - well not in my world. I have Celiac Disease (1 of 133 americans have it) and pernicious anemia or b12 deficiency is quite common. To summarize: if you need the book for a class - it is informative - but disregard the opinions and watch out for mistakes on the CD.
Don't bother with this one........ May 14, 2004 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Don't waste your money- so many better books available today- information is not applicable - writer does not have a clue- research is not accurate
