Product Description With its complete, interactive, objective-based approach, Intermediate Algebra: An Applied Approach, is a best-seller in this market. The Seventh Edition provides mathematically sound and comprehensive coverage of the topics considered essential in an intermediate algebra course. An Instructor's Annotated Edition features a comprehensive selection of instructor support materials. The Aufmann Interactive Method is incorporated throughout the text, ensuring that students interact with and master the concepts as they are presented. AJ Ohio September 22, 2008 Alice (OH) I recieved this book very quickly which was very important to me since I wanted to review it before the class started. I have ordered other books from other sources but have never recieved one this fast before. :)

I was to start by saying that the seller did specify that this was the instructor's edition of the text and the book was sent timely and in excellent condition. the problem I have is with the book itself. As the teacher's edition it doesn't not meet my needs for the class. The teacher's edition gives the answers but does not break down how they arrived at the solution. Therefore, I have to purchase another textbook. Thanks
Relatively easy but not a solid foundation. July 27, 2008 Tee Em Em (Pontiac, MI) This book made me realize something that I probably didn't before. That is that an applied approach is just simply skimming. That's what this book does, it skims over the concepts of Algebra. This is definitely not a solid foundation and will not benefit you if you need to take Trig., College Algebra or higher math. For instance, graphing is something you do alot in algebra. This book does not introduce the TI-84 calculator which is essential in today's algebra. I took an intermed. algebra course at one school under this book. Well a few years later I had to retake intermed. algebra because I placed low on the math test and was put back into it at another school. I was surprisingly shocked that I had learned very little with the applied approach. It was as if I was totally new to algebra. If your instructor requests this book for your algebra class, you will not finish that course with a strong enough foundation in intermediate algebra trust me.
