a classical book on linear model theory April 20, 2005 ARIMA 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a very good book, written by a biometrician whose expertise in the area of linear models is unquestionable. However, it is not for the faint-hearted when used as a textbook, so the completely negative reaction from a previous reviewer is to be expected. Although written more than thirty years ago, this book is still a standard reference.

I think this is the worse textbook for linear models class becuase the author tries to make everything complicate. If you have a background in the linear Algbera then you will feel that the author could use the simple way to explain a very tough concept but he tried to use the very difficult method to describe a very simple concept! So don't buy this book no matter what background you have; you better to use other textbook for your linear models course. Trust me!
