5 out of 5 stars This book delivers what it promises   April 5, 2006

This book features numerous vignettes grouped into several themes:

* You: Congratulations on Your Life
* Internal Capabilities: Understanding Your Life's Potential
* External Connections: Caring for Others in Your Life
* Troubleshooting: Taking Care of Yourself
* Optimum Performance: Getting the Best Out of Your Life
* Specifications: What You Need to Know About Others
* Proper Usage: Defining Your Life's Purpose
* Assembly Required: Creating Your Future

You Create Your Future with a Pen (pp. 23-24)
I love this concept, because it involves imaging yourself at some future point in time and establishing goals for yourself under that pretext. We must visualize the future success and remained dedicated, for dedication means keeping a promise to oneself.

Indian Wisdom: Two Wolves (p. 91)
This is a concise and vivid example of controlling one's internal struggles. It reminds us that we are the ones who control the outcome by "feeding" the metaphorical wolf that represents one of two opposing forces.

People Only Act for Self-Serving Reasons, No Matter What They Say or What You Think (p. 112)
This insight is spot-on, and as Joe says, everyone still disagrees with this truism...but it is true. And it's not as if this is inherently a bad thing, but rather just the way we humans act. The sooner we accept this concept, the sooner we'll be able to interact with people more effectively.

This might be Joe Vitale's finest work today. With the help of a number of powerhouse contributors, Vitale has put together a truly useful instruction manual for life.

The theme's of the book cover all aspects of life... including success and wealth.

It's not just a feel good book. It has pragmatic, real life bits of wisdom that all can ponder and absorb.

I truly love this book. You might want to pick up a few copies for people you love. It IS one of "those kinds" of books.

and
The Science of Influence

Perfect title. This is a guidebook I should have been given at birth. I work with the prison system in Ohio and I've had ex-cons tell me that Mr. Vitale's previous books have helped them make positve changes in their life. A fast and fun read. I can't wait to give them this one.

If you make a commitment to read and apply one of these messages every day, you couldn't help but find your life getting better and yourself happier. I believe this book should be required reading for high school students, and just about everyone else for that matter.

5 out of 5 stars Why couldn't I have received this information when I was born?   March 19, 2006

This information is terrific and I have used a considerable amount even if I have not finished the book yet. It is such help and so much to think about. I wish my parents could of passed some of it on when I was born, but then they didn't know either. I am trying to pass it on to my children and grandchildren. Thank you for a wonderful and useable book.
