an excellent source for those who are not a chemists November 20, 1999 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I found this book is very helpful for finding some chemical material. I myself not a chemist or someone that works for chemical related things. This book contains very straight information, and easy to understand.
Penguin Dictionary of Chemistry July 3, 2008 Michael A. Martin (Cincinnati, OH USA) The Penguin Dictionary of Chemistry: Third Edition (Dictionary, Penguin) Overall, I like this dictionary, and I am glad that I bought it. I would have liked it better if the author had included the Latin and Greek stems of the terms. However, I have not been able to find one that includes etymology. I was also unable to find a definition for "elementary reaction." The book is well illustrated.
