A good practical math book July 25, 2008

This book seems to be about calculation in the real world.
It is clearly aimed at electrical engineers and
has some very useful tricks and tips for survival.
Some mathematics department survive by supporting
engineering, chemistry and physics ( the hard subjects
of the modern university?). In turn we have
many mathematics professors hating calculus and any practical
calculations. Texts like this are made to take up the
abuse the math department hands out and heal the engineering student.
Both physics and chemistry need a similar sort of practical math text!
