Excellent Book on Physiological Chemistry March 5, 2006 The Write Woman (Boston, MA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book is exactly as described by the publisher. A very readable overview of general and organic chemistry. A comprehensive study of the organic molecules and chemical processes specific to the human body. I liked this book so much that I'm ordering a hardcover copy to replace my original paperback edition.
Well Written January 5, 2007 Drag Race Girl (Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book was used for 90% of my class. It well written for the student with little exposure to chemistry. The pictures and diagrams could have better depicted the subject matter. The price was $40 less than what my college bookstore charges. Great value.
Excellent Textbook April 19, 2006 Christopher Jordan (Hummelstown, PA) This is an excellent textbook for a two semester course in General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry for Health Professions. It does a very good job of explaining the concepts of General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry. It also has excellent applications on disease processes and pathophysiology. The organization of each chapter is a plus. I highly recommend this textbook. It is number one!
Excellent condition and prompt receipt February 12, 2008 L. Stromme (North Dakota) I received this book promptly and in excellent condition at a reduced price than the local college bookstore.
Fundamentals of General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry February 13, 2008 Hilda A. Soares (Virginia) This book is a very good and comprehensive view of the basics in general, organic, and biological Chemistry. I also like the fact that the book gives many examples and problems to work with. I recommend the study guide which can be purchased separately to go along with this book as it has been a very useful tool for me in my effort to complete this course.
