Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Still brief - but with the chapters that you wanted - Steven Chapras new second edition is written for engineers and scientists who want to learn numerical problem solving. This text focuses on problem-solving (applications) rather than theory, using MATLAB, and is intended for Numerical Methods users; hence theory is included only to inform key concepts. The new second edition feature new material such as Numerical Differentiation and ODE's: Boundary-Value Problems.

5 out of 5 stars had to learn MatLab   September 29, 2008
JoeBoone (TN USA)
I have to learn MATLAB for a current course. Good book with example problems. The assignment problems at the end of the chapters can be pretty difficult though. I would have liked to see the book come with a student version of MatLab. Nobody I know has MatLab for their personal use, and I have to go to the university every time to use it....
