Game Theory Books

Game theory is bound to expand in the future, and thus is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to enjoy an exciting course with many applications. The needed mathematical background for game theory is modest, and truly only mathematical maturity is needed. An excellent course in game theory will explain what game theory is about, explain how to work with many types of games by showing how to classify and solve them, and importantly, how to develop mathematical self-confidence by modeling, theorizing, and solving mathematical applications end-to-end. A study in game theory usually starts with matrix games, strategic and extensive games, and then infinite games. As the course continues students gain a deeper understanding that game theory is a collection of models which allows decision makers to interact cooperatively and non-cooperatively.
